Viagra often gets both men and women to smile and recently a heart warming story had us all smiling in the Ukmedix Newsroom but they were different sorts of smiles! This time the happy faces were because of the fact that Viagra had saved the life of an eleven month old boy!

Alfie Oliver who was born with his heart back-to-front was originally thought to be unlikely to make his first birthday party and his parents were told not to be too hopeful that he would live at all. However thanks to the doctors who suggested that Alfie made use of Viagra in tiny doses the future looks positive for him.
Alfie’s extremely rare condition occurs when the aorta and pulmonary arteries are the wrong way round and the poor boy underwent many complicated heart operations and even suffered from a heart attack.
Tracey Oliver, his mother credits Viagra with saving the boy’s life and said that people laugh when she tells them what medication he uses, but she doesn’t care because she said that it ‘keeps our son alive’ which is the important thing.
The first clinical testing of Viagra was originally destined to see whether it could improve blood flow for people with heart problems and it was only the side effect of improved erectile function in men which made the drug so famous.
At Ukmedix News we believe that the Viagra drug has many more applications and uses in helping both men and women to be healthier. Viagra improves poor blood flow in many different parts of the body which is a cause of so many illnesses and health conditions.
At present Viagra is a medication which is contraindicated for men who do have serious heart problems and that is why a prescription from a doctor is always required before using it. Men who do not get prescriptions for Viagra are potentially putting themselves at great risk.
