News reports coming into Ukmedix News show that a young Vietnamese female has contracted the bird flu virus and is seriously ill. The young woman of 22 years old has been placed in a hospital in the capital Hanoi and has been placed on a respirator to its help her breathe.

This is the 1st human case of the bird flu virus in Vietnam since the beginning of June according to a media release from the government. The young woman lived on a farm in the north part of Vietnam in an area which is known for intensive chicken breeding. It is likely that she had very close contact with diseased poultry and thus she contracted the deadly virus from them.
Vietnam has been one of the worst affected countries with regard to the bird flu virus and 99 people have been reported to have contracted the illness and out of these 44 of them did not survive. Statistics record that over half of all the individuals who have been infected with the bird flu virus have not survived from it. Overall the bird flu virus has killed over 190 people since it was first documented a few years ago and over 300 people have been properly confirmed as having contracted the illness.
Anyone who gets the bird flu virus must act extremely quickly to get proper antiviral medication and the World Health Organisation recommends that you take the drug Tamiflu. The quicker that you get your hands on Tamiflu the better as research and testing has shown that those people who took the drug within the 1st 48 hours of being infected with the virus had a much higher chance of recovering fully and those who took the drug in the first 24 hours did even better.
Tamiflu is a prescription medication made by the drug company Roche.
