Tamiflu is without a doubt the best medication on the market today to help you should you suffer from the H5N1 bird flu virus however by using the drug doesn’t mean you are 100 percent safe and many of the people who have died from the deadly bird flu have used the Tamiflu drug.

Tamiflu Not Only Remedy For Bird Flu

If you do catch the H5N1 bird flu virus it is essential that you get the Tamiflu medication as early as possible especially in the first 2 days. If you do not take the Tamiflu drug early on the chances of you surviving from the bird flu virus are lessened with each hour. The other thing to note is that the best way to stop yourself suffering from the bird flu virus is to stop yourself catching it in the first place.

In Switzerland for example the health authorities there are recommending that members of the public should buy protective face masks to stop them inhaling the virus from other people who may have caught it. The government is recommending that each person is Switzerland buys 50 of the protective face masks that can be bought in many different shops for a few Swiss francs.

The Swiss authorities also said that should a pandemic breakout in Switzerland they would recommend that everybody washed their hands as many times as practically possible during the day and that people always covered their nose and mouth when sneezing or coughing with a tissue which must immediately be thrown away. They also recommended that people should not shake hands with each other if the pandemic breaks out too.

The seriousness of the bird flu virus was underlined at the meeting of the 60th sixtieth World Health Assembly in Switzerland and a spokesman for the meeting said that the bird flu virus was still the largest global health worry and should not be underestimated.
