there is no harm in getting your own supply of Tamiflu

The UK government has just stated that it will double the amount of Tamiflu and other medicines it has for beating the deadly H5N1 bird flu virus. The announcement came from the Secretary of Health Mr. Alan Johnson who explained that the UK will soon have enough medication to treat around 50 percent of the British population.

UK Ordering More Tamiflu

The announcement comes just days after an outbreak of the bird flu virus was located on a farm on the Norfolk/Suffolk border which has increased fears in the United Kingdom about the dangers of the virus. Ukmedix News had previously reported that a number of eminent scientists in the United Kingdom had said the British government was not properly prepared for a full on bird flu pandemic and it is likely that the British government decided to listen to the scientists.

If a bird flu pandemic breaks out firstly people who work in hospitals such as doctors and nurses will be given Tamiflu as a defence mechanism as they will be dealing with sick people. Next for treatment will be those who actually have contracted or appear to have contracted the bird flu virus, but other people will not be given the Tamiflu until they actually start experience the symptoms of the H5N1 virus.

It is likely that when people start to contract the virus in the United Kingdom there will be great panic and the British government needs not only to be able to cope with the situation on a health level but also must be able to control the panic and make sure that people do not overreact.

The most effective medication to deal with the bird flu virus is undoubtedly the drug Tamiflu which is made by the drug company Roche. This has been stated by the World Health Organisation which has advised all nations around the world to make sure they have suitable supplies for their own populations.

If you are able to do so there is no harm in getting your own supply of Tamiflu and having it ready in a safe place at your home for your family.
