What scares people about swine flu is the way that it appears to kill young normally healthy people and a recent case involving a 25 year old American student shows exactly how dangerous the H1N1 virus can be!

Matthew Kitzman who was studying at Colorado State University was found dead in his house after having previously complained of feeling ill. In a tragic turn of events, Mr. Kitzman had even been to hospital two days before he was found dead and underwent testing, was given some medication and was sent home. If only the hospital had been more vigilant and had made a greater effort to look after him!
While the swine flu has not been officially confirmed as the cause of death, the Larimer County Health Department said that it was the suspect and warned that everyone should be extremely vigilant. They also said that the fact that Matthew Kitzman was clinically obese would have been a contributing factor in allowing the swine flu to take hold.
Matthew who was found by his girlfriend on Monday was expecting to graduate in a few months time and his family is devastated. His father said that he had not been given adequate treatment when he had gone into the hospital and that he had had to wait hours until he was seen by doctor.
The advice from Ukmedix News is not to treat influenza lightly! Many people confuse influenza with the common cold when in fact they are completely different and you should be aware of the symptoms of influenza.
You should not try and carry on normally if you have influenza, but you should get professional medical help and take influenza medication if necessary. You should make sure that somebody is aware of the fact that you are sick and that people come and check up on you periodically.
Influenza is too dangerous to ignore!
