More warnings have been put out by the United States Food & Drug Administration regarding the proliferation of fraudulent organisations selling supposed H1N1 vaccines and other products to protect you from the swine flu. The FDA specifically warned about products which were promoted with spam emails and sold online. In their own undercover research they actually bought five ’Tamiflu’ products online and when they were tested they were all seen to be completely ineffective.

In fact one of the fake Tamiflu tablets contained paracetamol and talcum powder and none of the all important ingredient oseltamivir. The FDA said that only Tamiflu (oseltamivir) and Relenza (zanamivir) were approved to treat the H1N1 Swine flu virus and that individuals should only purchase them from licenced pharmacies.
The FDA has also published a list online of over 140 individual fraudulent products to treat swine flu which are being sold online. There are some ridiculous products from body washes, shampoos and room sprays all of which have no benefit to individuals. From the FDA web site it is possible to download a Fraudulent H1N1 Products Widget onto your website so that you can check for yourself.
At Ukmedix News we feel that you don’t really need to do this because unless it is Tamiflu or Relenza from a licenced pharmacy it is a waste of time. At the Ukmedix web site you can check for yourself that your Tamiflu or Relenza comes from a UK based pharmacy because they will give you its address. If you don’t know exactly where your influenza medications are coming from don’t buy them!
The only other thing you can do to protect yourself against the swine flu virus is to wash your hands on a regular basis and try and stay away from coughing and sneezing individuals. Common sense is probably the best defence against the swine flu!
