Fake Tamiflu Is Out There... BEWARE

There are number of ways which you can check the veracity of your Tamiflu

Criminal organisations have been cashing on the recent scare surrounding the worldwide swine influenza pandemic by peddling fake versions of the influenza medications Tamiflu and Relenza online. There have even been reports that the drug is being sold on the street in some parts of the world by people claiming that they have managed to tap into government supplies by bribing officials.

Fake Tamiflu Is Out There... BEWARE

The practice of selling fake Tamiflu and Relenza is despicable because there is a strong chance that a person who uses the drugs believing they are real could end up dead as a result. It is one thing to sell fake Viagra but a completely different level of despicable crime to sell fake versions of medicines which are designed to save lives.

The Tamiflu drug is an extremely complicated drug to make and there’s no way that criminals will be able to copy it unless they have extremely sophisticated setups which would cost them millions of pounds. There are number of ways which you can check the veracity of your influenza medication but the best thing to do is to use common sense.

For example if your Tamiflu medication turns up in packaging which does not display the fact that it originates from a licenced UK pharmacy it is almost certainly counterfeit. Your Tamiflu should be white and yellow in colour and in a blister pack and box like in the picture. The box should have the details of the dispensing pharmacy, your name and also a manufacturer’s leaflet inside explaining exactly how the medicine should be used.

At Ukmedix News we are very conscious of the problem that people have with using online pharmacies to buy medications and that is why the Ukmedix web site uses an extra level of security called Pharmacheck, which is structured to give you peace of mind that all of your medications are safe and will be effective when you need them.

You cannot be too careful when buying medication online!
