Ms. Marisa Mancini was one angry woman when she woke up from routine surgery to correct a deviated septum to find that the surgeon had decided to change her appearance and give her what he believed would be a better looking nose!/p>

unauthorised nose job gets surgeon in trouble
Dr Jay M. Dutton who practices surgery in Chicago has been accused of altering her nose without her consent and to add insult to injury Ms. Marisa Mancini claims that despite his offer of a nose job she specifically told him that she was happy with the way she looked and only required surgery to help her breathe better! She told him that she was having problems breathing when sleeping causing her insomnia and also when she was exercising.

Ms. Marisa Mancini filed a lawsuit in Cook County Circuit Court charging Dr Jay M. Dutton with battery.  She claims that not only did he fix her deviated septum but he also corrected the bridge of her nose and altered the tip which she said markedly changed the way she now looks.

Ms. Marisa Mancini has obviously been contemplating whether to sue Dr Jay M. Dutton for some time because the actual surgery took place over two years ago. She is seeking damages of over $50,000 as well as punitive damages and any other costs.

No doubt both parties will argue in court that the other person was mistaken about the nature of the cosmetic procedure, which goes to show how important having digital imaging software pictures of the way you looked before your surgery and the way you want to look after your surgery in your possession.

Ms. Marisa Mancini probably thought that she did not need to have any images done because she wasn't having any cosmetic surgery done but maybe she has a contract with the doctor which will be vital in proving that she was not supposed to undergo any cosmetic corrective rhinoplasty. I hope he is struck off! He is totally out of order, how DARE he change her looks, even if it is for the better.
