Cosmetic Surgeon, An Artist Or Scientist

Written by Rupert Kircz| Monday, 12 December 2011| There is 1 comment

Do you need to have an artistic plastic surgeon?

Is a good cosmetic surgeon an artist or a scientist?  There those who argue that cosmetic surgery like any other medical practice is purely scientific and therefore requires an objective and completely analytical mind. If you are thinking about having a facelift, rhinoplasty or any other cosmetic procedure you definitely need a cosmetic surgeon who knows his science. There are plenty of potential dangers from infection, blood loss and from the anesthetic which definitely do not need an artistic thought process./p>

Checking out the academic credentials of your plastic surgeon is essential. Find out whether he is properly qualified from a respected medical university and do not be shy to ask for copies of his certificates and even ring up to check they are valid. There are lots of fraudsters out there and they tend to be extremely charming and confident.

Do you need to have an artistic plastic surgeon? At Ukmedix News we would argue that in fact you do! Once the science of your cosmetic surgery has been dealt with you need to see whether your new nose, breasts or whatever it is you are having fixed blends in with the rest of your appearance.

Sometimes only a perceptive, discerning and artistic eye can properly assess whether a particular shape or size is good for you. Experience counts for a lot in both art and in plastic surgery because the eye begins to learn what works and what does not.

Never forget that not all cosmetic surgeons are the same! In the same way as you might ask around and want to see previous work if you were going to have your portrait painted you should do exactly the same when it comes to cosmetic surgery. Go and meet previous patients and have a good look at their noses, faces and breasts!

It is definitely both, science without art would be disastrous and art without science would be even worse!
