One of the things which many people notice when their friends have nose jobs is that not only do they look more attractive but they also look younger! A clinical study which was recently published by the Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery confirms this theory. /p>

When the perceived ages were averaged out it was seen that the Rhinoplasty patients looked one and a half years younger after their surgery. The study authors said that having a nose job was especially effective at making the face look younger if the surgery involved the reduction of the dorsal hump.
Another way which a nose job made people look younger was when they had a nasal tip rotation of more than 10°. Put into simple language if you flattened the bridge of your nose or you had the tip of your nose turned up slightly you were more likely to look younger after your surgery.
Another finding of the study was that the older the patient was when they had their nose job the more likely the operation would have a significant impact on making them look younger. This is pretty obvious because young people were unlikely to look much younger by changing the shape of their noses.
It is also worth noting that as people age their noses sometimes droop creating not only a bigger dorsal hump but also a downward point of the tip. Therefore young people with naturally big dorsal humps and downward pointing tips will always look slightly older than those young people with straight and slightly upturned noses.
