breast reduction procedures have risen 28 percent over last year in the UK

The big new latest fad in cosmetic surgery is breast reduction surgery for men. It seems that the condition called gynaecomastia, [basically the development of breasts in men] has become much more publicised and this has led to many more men making appointments with their doctors to see what they can do about it. According to the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons the number of men undergoing breast reduction procedures has risen 28 percent over last year. /p>

At Ukmedix News we would advise that before you go running off to have breast reduction surgery you should have a serious consultation with a doctor to check your hormone levels. It is pretty unlikely but you need to check that there isn't an underlying cause which needs to be dealt with before undergoing surgery.

Another thing you should be aware of is that you may well be suffering from 'man boobs' because you are overweight, unfit, drink too much alcohol and are generally unhealthy. A reputable and ethical doctor may just advise you that you just need to take your health a little bit more seriously, lose a bit of weight and do 50 press ups every day.

Doing strength exercises will boost your muscle mass and also boost your testosterone levels which will have an impact on reducing the estrogen levels in your bloodstream which can cause man boobs. If you are unfit and unhealthy your best bet is to go and speak to a personal trainer who can motivate you and come up with a program specifically tailored for your body issues. Your trainer may well be able to turn your boobs into pecs!

Whatever you do don't just rush into breast reduction surgery. Make sure that you get a full list of the different options available and that you get a full medical checkup too.
