Mrs. Maria Alaimo has a terrible story to tell about her breast lift surgery which left her deformed and scarred. Her surgeon had told her that she would become beautiful but surgical complications ended up with her having deformed breasts, a complete loss of confidence and a destroyed seventeen year old marriage.

Mrs. Alaimo from Willowbrook in America said that she had never been properly warned about the risks of breast lift surgery and that her doctor, Dr. Berman had made her sign a legal disclaimer just when she was being taken into the operating theatre. She also claims that he forged her signature on the pre-op report when a second corrective surgical procedure was being done three months after the original bungled operation.
Mrs. Alaimo who has launched a $5 million medical malpractice suit against Dr. Keith S. Berman claims that all she was told was that she was “going to be beautiful" but instead was left with deformities called ‘double-bubbles’.
In an emotional testimony given to a jury Mrs. Alaimo described the pain and the horror of seeing her chronically deformed breasts with her nipples “up to my chin”. Subsequent surgery to rectify the problem made things even worse and left her with even more scars. She spoke about her ex husband as a good man but describe the strain of the bungled breast lift surgery as being too much for them to cope with and a direct reason for her eventual divorce.
She said that since the horrific operation she never let her husband see her naked and she said she just wouldn’t sleep with him because she was too ashamed of her deformities. Breast lift surgery should only be carried out after extensive consultation with properly qualified and experienced medical practitioners.
