Looking After Your Breasts Could Prevent Need For Breast Lift

One of the most common plastic surgery procedures is a breast lift which is different from a breast enlargement in that no silicone implants are inserted. A breast lift is popular with women who have started to age and who feel that their breasts are not as perky as they used to be. The procedure normally involves a little bit of tightening and reshaping of breast tissue and a good plastic surgeon should be able to give excellent results./p>

Many women however are apprehensive of the surgeon's knife and even though they don't like their saggy and droopy breasts they would never undergo surgery to correct them. For these types of women however there are alternatives which are safer than surgery and could produce long term results.

For example one thing that women should know is that they should choose their bras extremely carefully. If you wear ill fitting bras over a long period of time they could stretch your breast tissue in the wrong way. Poorly fitted bras may stretch part of the breast called the Cooper's ligament which stops them from sagging.

Not supporting your breasts properly when you exercise can also place an extra downward stress which over the long term can have a detrimental effect. So take your time to get the right bra which gives you the right sort of support because it could save you from having to have a breast lift in the future.

The other thing to take note of is that it is possible for women to exercise in order to keep their breasts in good shape. While it is true that a lot of the breast tissue is fat, a good proportion of it is muscle which can be kept in good shape with carefully chosen exercises. Staying slim and reducing excess body fat around the breasts is also beneficial for keeping them looking good.

Like many things in life, if you look after them they will stay in good shape!
