MP's Losing Weight

Written by Stuart Stevens | Thursday, 11 January 2007

In New Zealand a number of overweight and obese Members of Parliament have been busy shedding the pounds. One of the MP’s from the Labour side of the bench who has lost a considerable amount of weight was Marian Hobbs who has shed over 25 kilos meaning that she is now a size 18 dress size down from a gargantuan size 26!

Interestingly she went to her doctor before embarking on her crusade to lose weight and was prescribed the weight loss medication Reductil (or Meridia as it is known in the Unite States.) At Ukmedix we have seen how Reductil can help obese people lose weight and get fit and it is especially useful in helping people change their eating habits, as it is an appetite suppressant.

When Reductil is used properly it is a real boost to obese people losing weight and can give them that extra push that is required to get serious weight loss results. The MP said that she lost 15 kilos using the Reductil along with a reduced calorie diet and then when she got used to her diet she was able to continue dieting losing a further 10kilos without the use of the drug.

The initial weight loss can act as a motivator for people to continue dieting and get fit and she now goes to the gym as much as 4 times a week to keep fit and to maintain her weight loss. Another MP Trevor Mallard has also shed around 10 kilos by eating carefully and exercising more often and now claims to be below 100 kilos for the first time over a decade.

At Ukmedix it is possible to have an online consultation to see if Reductil is the right drug for you to use to lose weight. Ukmedix doctors can give practical advice on losing weight, exercising and healthy eating with are all party of a Reductil weight loss plan.
