A warning has just come into the Ukmedix newsroom regarding a dangerous weight loss medication that is probably made in China and is being sold in Hong Kong and on the internet. The warning which was put out by the Hong Kong Health Department explains that 2 weight loss products called J-minus and Jelimel slimming capsules are not what they seem and contain a prescription controlled medication called sibutramine which is the active ingredient in the diet medicine Reductil.

The police recently raided a number of shops and warehouses and picked up large quantities of the illegal medication which could be extremely dangerous to certain people with high blood pressure. A number of people were arrested and are likely to be officially charged very soon. The police acted after a number of people suffered from feeling ill and reported the complaints to their doctors and the police. The two women were reported to have been suffering from cardio palpitations and hand tremors after using the illegal medication and having bought it from an online web site. The sibutramine drug is an extremely effective appetite suppressant but it is only permitted to be sold with a prescription because certain people should not take it and only doctors would be able to inform you if it is correct for you to use it.
At Ukmedix News we want to warn you again! Do not by any weight loss medication online unless it is a recognised brand name and you get a prescription from a doctor. Do not be conned if the website says that the medicine is traditional, herbal or natural because very often this is just a trick to make you reckon that what you are taking is harmless. We have seen instances when the active ingredient of Reductil (sibutramine) was placed in very harmless sounding weight loss medicines.
It really is not worth the risk. Make sure you always get that prescription!
