The government of New Zealand has taken steps highlight the dangers of fake and illegal weight loss medications that are being found all over the nation. The Director General of Health, Stephen McKernan has warned people that Chinese medical products that are sold in health shops and online are often laced with dangerous chemicals that can be potentially fatal if used by the wrong people.

The government of New Zealand has a special section that deals with medicines called Medsafe and they have been busy testing dubious sounding and dubious looking medicines that are found in shops in the country. There is a vast market worldwide for so called traditional and natural remedies for weight loss. People feel very happy about using things that sound as if they have been grown on a tree and do not contain any nasty and dangerous chemicals and thus a bit of packaging with Chinese writing and a picture of a tree in a green box always seems to sell well to the more unsuspecting customer.
At Ukmedix news we have the opposite outlook, and if we see the box that looks and claims that the weight loss medication in it is natural we are prepared to bet that it isn’t. For example one medication that the health authorities in New Zealand have seized and banned from sale is called Dai Dai Hua Jiao Nang and despite its labeling looking completely harmless it contains a powerful appetite suppressant called sibutramine that is the active chemical in the weight loss medication Reductil. There is nothing wrong with sibutramine if it is taken under doctor’s advice and with a prescription being issued but it is extremely dangerous to sell a medication claiming that it is natural when it is in fact laced with a strong drug.
In the same way imagine that there was a so called natural pain killer that came in a green box from China which in fact contained paracetamol, asprin or another drug. The chances are because you knew or thought that the medication was natural you might have taken too much of it and you would also be more likely to purchase it if you had particular allergies or reactions to paracetamol or aspirin. We have come across reports of people buying a natural weight loss medications because they have an allergy or reaction to Reductil and they are the ones who are putting themselves in extreme danger when buying these illegal weight loss medications. We said it before and we’re going say it again, Ukmedix News advises you to stay well away from any natural weight loss medications that come from China as you may not be taking what you think you are.
