In Turkey the Health Ministry has issued an urgent warnings to citizens that certain weight loss aids and diet pills available on the market in the country contain potentially dangerous prescription drugs. The weight loss supplements in question are the Li da Daidaihua capsules and the Li Da Daidaihua 30 capsules which are being widely sold.

In line with standard practice for the country every now and again supplements are chosen at random to be tested to make sure that they contain what they say they contain. In this case the above mentioned diet pills were found to contain sibutramine that is known to be the active ingredient of the prescription only weight loss medication Reductil.
Sibutramine is perfectly harmless if it is used correctly and if you are the right sort of individual to use it. Some people are unable to take sibutramine because they have heart disease or other health complications that makes it unsuitable for them. These two diet pills that were picked up by the Turkish Health Ministry did not make any mention the fact that they contained sibutramine, thus making them extremely dangerous to consumers.
Sibutramine is a very effective appetite suppressant that is being used by thousands of overweight people all over the world. Sibutramine is a prescription medicine because it needs to be used with good and sensible advice and should not be used by people who do not know how it works.
This is not the only time that Ukmedix News has come across an incident where so called natural looking weight loss supplements have been found to contain very strong prescription compounds. In India and in China criminals are increasingly using western medicine and selling it in such a form that makes it appear to be natural and therefore harmless.
