The health authorities in Hong Kong have put out a warning regarding a slimming supplement which they recently tested after finding it to contain a potentially dangerous compound. The product in question is called Energy II and contains a prescription only medication called sibutramine which is the active ingredient in the diet medication Reductil.

There is nothing wrong with using sibutramine provided that you get a prescription for it and that you consult with a doctor about any health conditions that you may have. Reductil has been known to increase blood pressure in certain people and therefore should not be used by people who suffer from high blood pressure. At Ukmedix News we have been constantly looking out for dangerous supplements which claim to be harmless products but in fact contain large amounts of powerful prescription medications.
The Hong Kong department of health became aware of the supplement after a woman started to suffer from breathing difficulties after using Energy II. This woman had not been to a doctor and had not obtained a prescription and therefore was unaware that she should not be using sibutramine and was in fact unaware that Energy II even contained any of this compound. The Hong Kong police have arrested individuals in connection with the sale of this product and have seized a large number of the capsules.
At Ukmedix News we have a simple piece of advice which could end up saving your life and that is never to use any weight loss medication no matter how simple and harmless it sounds, unless a doctor has prescribed it for you. Thousands of fake and dangerous diet supplements pills are coming out of India and China everyday and have been known to have caused the death of a number of individuals.
You should only use branded prescription medications from a licenced pharmacy if you require any slimming medicine. Don’t play around with your health…. It could cost you your life.
