The Department of Health in Hong Kong has put out a warning regarding a weight loss product called More Slim, which they say could be extremely dangerous for some people to use.

This slimming product is not the first one to have been picked up by the Department of Health in Hong Kong as recently another product called Li Da Dai Dai Hua Jiao Nang was also tested and found to contain dangerous amounts of controlled compounds.
In a raid on a slimming clinic the health authorities picked up a number of packets of the More Slim product and when it was tested it was found to contain sibutramine. Sibutramine is the key ingredient in the weight loss medication Reductil which is an effective appetite suppressant when it is used properly and by the right people.
The dangers of using something other than the real product were highlighted by the health authorities in Hong Kong who said that when they had tested some of these illegal products they contained doctored or altered versions of sibutramine such as N-desmethyl-sibutramine, which has not been properly tested for side effects and which has been known to cause psychosis, (serious mental illness) in some tests.
In one case a seventeen year old boy who had been using an illegal weight loss product containing an analogue compound of sibutramine ended up in hospital suffering from hallucinations of an auditory nature.
The weight loss drug Reductil is probably the most effective appetite suppressant at present on the market today and has been used by millions of people around the world. Because it is so successful many unscrupulous criminals have tried to copy it and package it and pass it off as a natural and easy to use medication. In fact Reductil is only good for certain people and should not be used by people who have any heart problems or high blood pressure.
