Police have been called after the United States Postal Service intercepted a large consignment of fake weight loss medication which was shipped to Lubbock County in Texas. In all nearly 2,000 diet pills arrived from overseas and were subjected to testing by the local health authorities.

The results showed that some of the tablets had over twice the Food & Drug Administration recommended amount of the appetite suppressant sibutramine. Sibutramine is the active ingredient in the prescription weight loss drug Reductil and while it is perfectly safe if used properly if you take too much, [as in the case with practically all medicines] you could suffer from severe health consequences.
Reductil sold in the United Kingdom comes with either 10mg or 15mg of sibutramine but these tablets in some cases contained as much as 55mg of the drug. This case highlights exactly why you should never buy weight loss medication on the internet unless it has been prescribed you by a doctor. Many of the online pharmacies claim that their products are completely natural but this is rarely true. In this case the tablets were called Meizitang and were probably produced in an illegal factory in China.
Ukmedix News has come across reports of people dying from using dangerous weight loss medication and there are thousands of reports of people using other weight loss tablets which have no effect on them. The United Nations has repeatedly warned about the dangers of fake drugs being sold online and has likened purchasing them to playing ‘Russian Roulette’ with your health.
Weight loss medication such as Reductil and Xenical which can be purchased legally online in the United Kingdom can help you to lose weight but you should always take care to make sure that your drugs are legitimate. This can be done on the Ukmedix website using the Pharmacheck system

I bought these pills in US last month and did not arrive until this week, in which the box was empty and a not from US Customs. I thought these were all natural and safe as seen in many websites. There's not that much information out there on the negatives. I will stay away from this. Thanks!

Legal diet pills dont work so what am i supposed to do?

Gina, legal pills do work but you have to do some of the work too! If you use fake stuff you are putting your life in danger. You might get thin but you might die in the process..

I agree with Gina, if legal pills don't work what should we do? Instead of judging those pills, U.S. govmnt/scientist should try to create some LEGAL pills that will actually help. Isn't the U.S. one of the countries with most obesity in the world?

Becky, people need to get off their butts, work out and eat right. Stop looking for a quick, easy and most likely dangerous way to lose weight. That's why there is so much obesity in the U.S. Everybody wants a quick fix. Sheer laziness.
