REDUCTIL – manufactured by Abbott – active ingredient Sibutramine Hydrochloride
It is not advised to take Reductil when suffering from any of the following conditions (or situations):
• Depression
• Have a history of drug and alcohol misuse
• Bulimia or Anorexia
• Coronary disease
• Pregnant or to become pregnant or breast-feeding

Reductil is contra-indicated to the following conditions:
• History of major easting disorders
• Psychiatric illness
• Tourette Syndrome
• History of coronary artery disease
• Congestive heart failure
• Tachycardia
• Peripheral arterial occlusive disease
• Arrhythmias
• Cerebrovascular Disease
• Uncontrolled hypertension
• Hyperthyroidism
• Prostatic Hypertrophy
• Phaeochromocytoma
• Angle Closure Glaucoma

Some of the known side effects of Reductil are:
• Constipation
• Anorexia
• Dry mouth
• Insomnia
• Nausea
• Tachycardia
• Palpitations
• Hypertension
• Vasodilation
• Light-headedness
• Paraesthesia
• Anxiety
• Sweating
• Taste Disturbance
