Thousands Of Men Sold Fake Propecia

The scam of selling fake Propecia is one of the easiest scams online

The Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency that is the government appointed regulator of all drugs in the UK has had yet another success in the battle against counterfeit and dangerous drugs being illegally sold on the internet. Three men were given a total of ten years prison which should send a strong message out to those individuals who are involved in the illegal business.

Thousands Of Men Sold Fake Propecia

The men organised a criminal network which sold the fake hair loss medication Propecia which is the world’s best selling male pattern baldness drug as well as a whole list of other drugs such as weight loss and erectile dysfunction medications. A spokesman from the MHRA said that this year had been an extremely good year for catching the criminals who bring fake medication into the UK and that they were now determined to use the “full force of the law” to put many other people behind bars.

Propecia is one of them world’s most copied drugs and it is an extremely easy drug to sell online as many men to feel embarrassed to go to a doctor to speak about their hair loss problem. The Propecia drug works for about 90 percent of men.

The scam of selling fake Propecia is one of the easiest scams online because the drug takes up to three months of regular use before the effects are visible. This means that a man who buys a fake and useless version of the hair loss drug will not immediately realise that he has been sold a fraudulent product. Eventually when results still do not appear after the three months he will probably just think that he’s one of the unlucky men for whom the Propecia drug does not function.

It is estimated that thousands of men around the world have stopped using Propecia believing that it doesn’t work for them when in fact if they had used a real version of Propecia made by the drug company Merck they would have experienced good results and possibly hair regrowth.

Ukmedix News congratulates the MHRA on its successes this year and we hope that next year will prove to be even more successful.
