I have received my Propecia but how do I know that it is the real deal?

UK Medix only dispenses genuine Propecia, but for those who go elsewhere, this has become a commonly asked question among those patients who order their Propecia online; mainly brought about by the vast amounts of generic medications being passed off as the real Merck Propecia.

In these cases, you may end up paying the full price for your medication on the premise that you will receive the genuine article, only to find that you have been sent cheap generic medications that may be harmful to you.

Although there is no precise formula to know whether you are buying the generic Propecia versus the genuine Merck manufactured Propecia, we, here at UK Medix, have devised some guidelines that may help you determine the authenticity of it.

Where is the dispensing pharmacy based?

If you have already received your medication, this may be too late; but when buying your medications ensure that the pharmacy is based in the UK or Ireland. Uk Medix have learnt that the restrictions are tighter here than in Europe / the rest of the world and as an added bonus, this will also ensure that there are no customs / duty to pay.

How did your Propecia medication arrive?

Did you receive your medication in a plastic/paper bag or an unmarked pill bottle or anything that does not look like one of the two photos below? If you did you have almost certainly received the generic type of the medication and therefore an unregulated version.

If your medication turned up in packaging like figures A or B below, you are on the right track and the medication is likely to be the real stuff, but beware!; UK Medix have learnt that you are still not 100% safe as some fraudsters have even perfected the packaging!

Are there labelled details on the packaging?

Your medication should be labelled by the dispensing pharmacy to yourself. It should have your details on it AND those of the pharmacy. This way you have a point of contact when verifying the authenticity of your Propecia.

What do the Propecia Pills look like?

Check out figure C. If your pills do not look like those in the picture, UK Medix would advise that you do some due diligence, as they are unlikely to be the real Merck Propecia.
