Globe All Wellness Supplements Recalled By FDA

Yet again the United States Food and Drug Administration has had to order a recall of a supposedly herbal dietary supplement which was found to contain powerful chemicals. In this case the company Globe All Wellness LLC based in Hollywood was found to be promoting a diet supplement called SlimXtreme which when tested was found to contain sibutramine.
Sibutramine which is the active ingredient of the weight loss medication Reductil is only meant to be used with a prescription because it can have powerful side effects especially if used in the wrong people. It has actually been withdrawn from sale in both the United Kingdom and the United States. The idea that the manufacturers of this SlimXtreme supplement would add sibutramine to it while at the same time claiming that it was herbal is not only dangerously illegal but also criminally irresponsible.
Ukmedix News has seen hundreds of cases of supposedly herbal supplements being laced with either powerful prescription compounds or other chemicals which might be effective for temporary weight loss but also have potentially very dangerous side effects. The company has been given fifteen days to recall all of the supplements with the threat of legal action if they do not comply.
The head of the company Mr. Eran Hamami said that the patches found by the FDA were fake versions of their supplements and said that their own testing had not found the same chemicals in them. Nevertheless, they would immediately comply with the recall. He claimed that their products only contained natural ingredients like lotus leaf, bitter orange and konjac root. At Ukmedix News we cannot find any independent clinical evidence that any of these ingredients actually are conducive to weight loss.
We would like to advise our readers that the only legal prescription weight loss medication available in the United Kingdom for sale is Xenical and that using anything else is likely to be dangerous or completely ineffective.
