Viagra In The World Cup For English Team Unlikely

We sort of expected this to happen at Ukmedix News when we found out that the English team would be playing at the high altitude in South Africa for the World Cup. We all said how long will it be before somebody starts the rumour that they will be taking Viagra with them to cope with the effects of the thin air?

A few months back it was reported that Bolivian football teams playing on the Altiplano made use of a Viagra tablet just before each match to improve their oxygen absorption. Despite denials from various teams there is actually some medical evidence to show that it could be of beneficial use because Viagra expands blood vessels not only in the penile artery but in other parts of the body. Researchers have shown that mountaineers given Viagra can actually benefit from increased climbing ability at high altitude.
As of today the use of Viagra for professional sportsman is not illegal so they are completely within their rights to use it however it is extremely unlikely to be recommended by the English football team doctor because it has not been properly tested at high altitudes under extreme stress.
There were similar reports surfacing last year saying that a lot of sportsmen and sportswomen in the Beijing Olympics were also making use of Viagra to improve their performance and it was speculated that the World Anti Doping Authority would soon ban it, but this has not materialised despite them commissioning clinical testing to see whether it improves physical performance. England will be playing next summer at the Rustenburg football stadium which is 5,000ft. above sea level.
Ukmedix News recommends that Viagra, Cialis and Levitra should only be taken by individuals who needed to treat erectile dysfunction and not for any other reason.
