A new way to lose weight by literally freezing off unwanted fat has just been launched in the United Kingdom. The CoolSculpting machine works by using a gel patch that clamps on to the parts of your body with excess fat and freezes it so that it is destroyed.  The machine which was developed by Zeltiq in California cannot make you completely thin but the company claims that it can remove beer bellies, love handles and bingo wings.  /p>

The way it works is that the below zero temperature does not also destroy the muscle and skin tissue but only destroys fat cells which are then absorbed into the digestive system of the body and excreted as waste over the next few months.

The manufacturers who claim that they have a nod of approval from the US Food & Drug Administration are hopeful that this new procedure will be seen as a safer and less painful form of liposuction which is now one of the most common forms of cosmetic surgery. Mr. Mitchell Levinson the founder of Zeltiq explained that it was possible to have treatment with the CoolSculpting machine while lying down and relaxing and that patients would only feel extreme cold which would soon go away.

Well, the way we see this at Ukmedix News is that firstly men and women must not think that their weight problems are over and that this device will be able to cure them of obesity. They should merely think of it as a possible treatment for problem areas that won't go away despite healthy diet and lots of exercise.

Men and women should also be aware that this treatment is very new and while its manufacturers say it has been extensively tested whether it is a long term solution to stubborn fat removal has yet to be seen.

The upside of this treatment is that it is definitely much safer than liposuction which is probably the most dangerous form of cosmetic surgery. With this new freezing liposuction treatment the potentially dangerous anesthetic is not required and you have no risk from post operative inflections.
