The Health Minister of Malaysia Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai has put out yet another warning regarding the use of any medications to treat erectile dysfunction which have not been registered by the state and the relevant health departments. In particular he warned that the category of traditional aphrodisiacs "ubat kuat lelaki" which are often sold on the street and market stalls should be avoided because many of them contained substances which could be extremely harmful to health.

He said that many of these so called traditional aphrodisiacs contained doctored versions of the compounds sildenafil, tadalafil and vardenafil which are used in the legal erectile dysfunction medications Viagra, Cialis and Levitra. He explained that these medications should only be prescribed by doctors because if the wrong men were given them serious health complications could ensue.

Speaking while visiting the Malaysian National Pharmaceuticals Control Bureau in Kuala Lumpur the health minister went on to say that using these ubat kuat lelaki aphrodisiacs could result in heart attacks, strokes, brain haemorrhage, hypertension, loss of hearing and vision that could even be permanent.

He stressed that the production of these substances was now being disguised in aphrodisiac coffees, teas and even in a harmless sounding ice lemon tea. He warned that the Malaysian health ministry would be clamping down on those who sell unregistered medications and he was determined to stamp out this abuse of people's health.

At Ukmedix News we have seen cases of serious illness and even death ensue as a result of using fake erectile dysfunction medication and we cannot stress enough the importance of getting real medications, prescribed by real doctors after genuine medical consultations. We understand also the embarrassment involved when using erectile dysfunction medication and have seen how the process of having discreet online consultations can be far more effective than face to face consultations with a doctor.

Whatever you do make sure what you buy is genuine and legal!
