Keith Richards Heading For A Serious Health Issue

Keith Richards is taking a very different attitude to smoking compared to his fellow Rolling Stones band member Mick Jagger. Whereas Mick is telling anyone who will listen that smoking is bad for you (including Joss Stone), Keith is still puffing away and has no intention of quitting. Despite the fact that he is 66 years old and even experienced a brain hemorrhage a few years ago after a boozy holiday the only concession he has made to his health and his lifestyle is to cut back on drinking a little bit.
Keith claims that smoking is now his only vice and that his drug days are long behind him. The sad thing about his situation is that he is trying to be rational about an irrational situation. The fact that he has been smoking all his life means that the chances of him suffering from a life threatening smoking related illness are very high at the moment and that if he quit now he would experience significant health benefits almost immediately.
It's all very well to have a "rock 'n' roll" attitude to smoking but all of his bravado and devil may care attitude will evaporate into thin air the day that the doctor informs him that he has lung cancer or emphysema or any serious illness for that matter. When the magnitude of his illness hits him he will wish he had not been so stupid as to continue smoking like he does now.
Keith Richards should go and visit a cancer ward and see people wired up with oxygen masks so that he can fully appreciate how bad his situation could get. Ukmedix News has written about how all smokers eventually regret their habit and wish that they had never lit up in the first place.
