Love Your Vagina Say Researchers

the visual appearance, the smell, the taste and general feel of female genitalia

A fascinating new study seen by Ukmedix News shows the importance of women being ‘at one’ with their vaginas. The researchers have shown that those who have a positive attitude about their genitals are able to orgasm more easily and are also more probable to look after their sexual health better with regular gynecological examinations by both doctors and themselves.

Debby Herbenick from the Centre for Sexual Health Promotion at the School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation explained that in some cultures the vagina was considered to be dirty and this impacted negatively on both female sexual satisfaction and female sexual health.

The research was conducted by designing a scoring card to measure the attitude that men and women had towards female genitalia. The results show that men had significantly more positive attitudes to the vagina than women did and Ms Herbenick highlighted that women were more likely to be more critical about other women’s and even their own bodies than men.

The questions focused on the visual appearance, the smell, the taste and general feel of female genitalia and in all aspects men gave a higher ranking than women did. Ms Herbenick suggested that sexual education should highlight that the vagina is not a dirty thing because this could improve body image.

The study which was published in the International Journal of Sexual Health may help to explain why some women find it easier to orgasm and fully enjoy sexual activity compared to other women who find it difficult to fully respond to sexual stimuli.

We have written on a number of occasions at Ukmedix News of the importance of good psychological attitudes for women to get the most out of their bodies sexually. Women who have unresolved emotional issues, who are under stress and who are generally unhappy are more likely to suffer from female sexual dysfunction.

I think it's important for both to love and admire each other's and their own genitals. Just the same way you say: "Jeepers creepers, where you got those peepers."
