The results of a study show that nearly 30% of women would like to have more sex than they are getting now. The Harlequin Romance Report 2007 which asked women personal and intimate questions about their sex lives makes fascinating reading for men. For example 41 percent of women said that they had told the person they were dating that they loved them in the hope that it would mean that they would have sex. Traditionally this is a thing that men usually do and 55 percent of men admitted that they had done it too.

Over 70 percent of women also claimed that they had at some point purchased sexy lingerie or sex toys in the hope that these things would encourage their sexual partners to have sex more often. A quarter of all men admitted that they had had a “cyber affair” meaning a sexually explicit interaction on the internet involving videos or photos. Fascinatingly however almost the same amount of women claimed that they had done the same.
Women on the whole are far more coy and reserved when it comes to discussing sex and sexual practices however the results of this survey show that they enjoy sex just as much as men and that given the chance they will be very sexually active. The problem with a female sexual function is that it is not as simple as male sexual function and women for example tend to require emotional stability in order to enjoy having sex. Very often a woman will lose interest in sex when problems in her relationship start to appear.
The only type of medication to help women who suffer from female sexual dysfunction is Intrinsa which is a prescription medication which will boost hormone levels.
