Xiaflex Could Cure Peyronie's Disease

Xiaflex led to an almost 30 percent average improvement

Men suffering from the extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant Peyronie's disease may be able to benefit from a new medication called Xiaflex. The drug which was recently given the green light by the Food & Drug Administration in America was specifically approved for the treatment of claw hand which is an illness that causes bent and crooked fingers.

Xiaflex Could Cure Peyronie

Auxilium Pharmaceuticals that has been given the licence to market the Xiaflex drug said that despite clinical trials showing the benefit of Xiaflex injections for men suffering from Peyronie's disease they would not be at this point encouraging its use for the condition. The clinical trials showed that injections of Xiaflex led to an almost 30 percent average improvement in the curvature of the penile shaft when compared with placebo injections.

Peyronie's disease is a very real and serious health condition which occurs in around two percent of men. In some cases it is very mild but if it gets worse it can cause painful erections and ultimately erectile dysfunction. Obviously trying to have sex with a bent penis is difficult if not impossible.

Because of the very embarrassing nature of this condition many men don’t come forward for treatment.  Peyronie's disease can however be treated and it is important that men try and get some help sooner rather than later and before the curvature of their penis becomes too pronounced. The longer they leave it the more difficult to treatment will be.

In the same way that men don’t like to talk about and get treatment for erectile dysfunction they often avoid admitting that they have a problem with a curved penis for years. At Ukmedix News we have heard of cases of men who had learned to live with erectile dysfunction for decades before coming forward and getting a prescription for one of the erectile dysfunction drugs Viagra, Cialis and Levitra.

I need help, where do I get it? I am 19 and do not want to mention this to my parents, and if I don't I don't know how to pay for it.

You've got to do something about it, you cannot live your life with this problem, it will not go away on its own, you NEED to see a doctor.

I think ive got Peyronie's disease, thing is ive had the curve for as long as i can remember.

In 2008 I had my foreskin removed as my GP thought it may help, it didnt, im going to go back and see if something else can be done because I cant ejaculate or enjoy any sexual pleasures! and at 22 I should be.

what puzzles me is everything I read on this disease says its something that just occurs andnormally from 40 onwards, asmentioned above ive had it for as long as i can remember...

Anyone else?

Tene FE Y FUERZA. Suerte.

I have got full peyronie's and it was almost certainly made much worse by bisoprolol a beta blocker given after my heart attack. I also have dupuytrens, hypodontia and rounded shoulders (all related) and my feet are trying to get ledderhose. It is part of an underlying condition probably caused by cardio vascular inflammation causing sticky blood. Anything which helps blood flow will help to varying degrees. Anticoagulants like heparin, and other treatments like viagra, neprinol, serracor nk and all the other drugs mentioned here which help blood flow. However treatment needs to be started at the first sign. I would suggest getting checked for Hughes Syndrome. The older you are the more symptoms you will acquire. Migraines in late childhood to early adult life which return later in life is the most important warning sign. Other symptoms include tinnitus, sinus problems, joint soreness(back problems, depression, twitching, anxiety, foggy thinking, feeling of unwellness, feeling different, loss of body hair or loss of eyebrows, knee problems, hip pain, poor breath holding ability, slight to severe balance problems from time to time, seeing stars from time to time and visual disturbances. All may be slight and transient in nature and minor. Main risks are sudden Stroke, Heart Attack, DVT, Pulmonary Embolism out of the blue.
