New studies show that men who use the impotence medications Viagra and Cialis are three times more probable to end up suffering from sexually transmitted disease when compared to men who don't make use of them.

The research conducted by Harvard University was done by examining the health insurance claims of men over 40. The researchers did point out the increased risk of sexually transmitted disease could be connected to types of men who use Viagra and Cialis rather than a direct result of the drugs making them have less safe sex.
In fact it was noted that the increased likelihood of sexually transmitted disease was greater in the year before men started to use the Viagra and Cialis as well as after, thus suggesting that men who get prescriptions for these drugs fall into a category of men who were more likely to make use of unsafe sexual practices. The study which was led by Professor Anupam Jena and published in the Annals of Internal Medicine noted that similar results would be expected of men who make use of the third erectile dysfunction medication Levitra.
There is a growing concern among sexual health experts about the problem of older men and women not using condoms in casual sexual encounters. Many of them feel that because they are not as fertile as they used to be they are somehow less at risk from sexually transmitted disease. Over the last ten years the number of elderly people contracting AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases has drastically increased and Viagra, Cialis and Levitra are partly to blame. In fact individuals between the ages of 40 and 49 account for the biggest proportion of newly diagnosed AIDS cases in America according to the Centers for Disease Control.
From our own research at Ukmedix News we have seen how men use Viagra, Cialis and Levitra to enable themselves to have sex when they are drunk or under the influence of drugs. This is the worst and most dangerous time to have sex because as everybody knows you are likely to take much bigger risks than you would normally. Many of these men using impotence medications while under the influence of drink and drugs would normally not even be able to sustain an erection.
