So how does the Viagra condom work?

We have already written about this latest product from the world famous condom manufacturer Durex in connection with the fact that they were hoping to receive full approval for sale and marketing. The good news is that they have now been given a CE mark which means that they can be sold freely over the counter in pharmacies all over Europe.

Durex have named this condom CSD500 but it has been quickly nicknamed the Viagra condom because it is designed to produce the same effects as the famous erectile dysfunction medication.

So how does the Viagra condom work? Well, it has a special gel inside its tip which is designed to boost blood flow around the penis which in turn should produce firmer, stronger and even longer lasting erections.

The gel which is called Zanifil gel is manufactured by Futura Medical Plc and is formulated from the compound nitroglycerine which is known to open blood vessels and thus increase blood flow. Nitroglycerine is not new to the medical world having been used to remedy heart failure for well over 100 years.

Clinical testing done with the Viagra condom shows positive experiences for both the men and women with the men saying they had firmer erections and women reporting longer sexual experiences. Futura Medical Plc was keen to point out that the potential of this condom is huge because many men say that when they use a standard condom they find it difficult to maintain an erection. It is hoped that this Viagra condom will specifically help men whose suffer from condom related erectile dysfunction and therefore encourage them to practice safe sex.

The CSD500 is not designed to treat men who suffer from erectile dysfunction and should not be thought of as a remedy for impotence. If you suffer from erectile dysfunction you should have a consultation with a doctor and this can be done at the Ukmedix web site.
