You can always rely on Britain’s favourite newspaper The Sun for some ‘sex tips’ and their latest offering involves 30 things you can do to replace Viagra! Most of the tips are nothing more than a little snippet of fun but some of them actually have a little bit of science to them and could improve things for both men and women in the bedroom.

Remember that scene in the film A Fish Called Wanda, when Kevin Kline begins to sniff his armpits before jumping into bed with Jamie Lee Curtis? Well research done by the University of California actually shows that compounds present in male sweat can have a positive impact on both physical and psychological sexual desire in women so maybe you don’t actually need to take a shower after that gym workout!
Other tips from the Sun include going for a workout, [we’ve written loads about this at Ukmedix News], because they can have a positive impact on your mood and help you to relax which is so essential for good erectile function and healthy sex.
Most of the advice is simple common sense. Stuff like taking time, relaxing, eating healthy, not drinking too much and generally communicating well with your partner were all promoted by the Sun as alternatives to Viagra.
Other sex tips which the Sun spoke about which while lacking in clinically proven science are pretty harmless and are only a bit of fun. Things like the smell of cucumber boosting sexual arousal in women and certain meals like the Korma and Green Curry boosting both male and female sex drive shouldn’t be taken too seriously.
The most controversial tip offered by the Sun was that eating lean red meat could naturally increase the levels of dopamine and norepinephrine which are linked to heighten sensitivity when having sex. PETA, who we have written about on a number of occasions at Ukmedix News actually claims that eating meat can cause erectile dysfunction.
If you have a serious sexual problem these tips are unlikely to help you and you should see a doctor. Many of these tips would just help you get in the mood for sex which is an important prerequisite of a healthy sex life.
