Staying Slim And Fit To Avoid The Need For Viagra

The Professor of Medicine, Gary Wittert at the University of Adelaide in Australia has recently been expounding on his theory that in many cases in order to maintain good erectile function well into your old age all you need to do is keep thin and fit. Professor Wittert explained that the blood vessels found in the penis are in fact the same as the blood vessels found in the heart and therefore if your penile blood vessels are not working it is likely that you have some sort of cardio problem too.

There have been many studies in recent years linking being overweight and obese to heart disease however men tend to have a very nonchalant attitude to their health and often ignore doctor’s advice in this regard. However doctors say that when they tell their patients that their weight could have an impact on their future erectile function they really sit up and listen.
Even if you are in your thirties you should be conscious of the fact that if you are overweight and unfit you could be jeopardising your future sex life. You should eat healthily and get fit and look at it as an investment in your quality of life when you get older.
Being overweight or obese can also cause many other illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension and cholesterol problems all of which have also been directly linked to erectile dysfunction. Many men see their erectile dysfunction purely as a sign of aging and do not consider that in fact the problem is connected with their bad health. Professor Wittert said that it was ‘not inevitable’ that you lost erectile function when you aged.
Speaking at the Australian Health and Medical Research Congress in the city of Brisbane recently, Professor Wittert said that men should consider their penis as the “window to their heart”.
