Spam Filters Make Life Difficult For Pharmacists And Doctors

Millions of spam e-mails promoting fake and dangerous Viagra, Cialis and Levitra as well as bogus penis enlargement remedies are produced every single day. If you work in practically any business you will find the issue of spam email problematic and time consuming especially if you do not have a good spam filter.

One organisation called Ferris Research estimates that spam email could end up costing American companies as much as $10 billion every year because of loss of productivity, extra bandwidth and administration costs and other infrastructure costs dealing with the removal the spam. It is thought that the problem is getting worse every year as spammers become more sophisticated and better at targeting vulnerable areas of the internet.
However if you think that you have a problem with spam e-mail you should consider the people who work in the legitimate industry of Viagra, Cialis and Levitra or those who deal with urological problems involving the penis. These people have great difficulty in sending each other emails about routine matters of research and development as not only do individual computers have spam filters but servers also remove millions of suspect emails containing certain words from cyberspace daily.
For example Joshua Elicio who is the Director of Information Security at the Memorial Medical Centre in New Mexico talks about how trying to send colleagues information about pharmaceuticals and anatomy in the regular line of work can result in a lot of lost correspondence.
It is almost impossible for spam filters to differentiate between legitimate email dealing with erectile dysfunction medication and spam e-mail which seeks to sell fake versions of it. It is no good for medical professionals to use the words V*****, C***** and L****** to denote the individual drugs Viagra Cialis and Levitra because the spam filters are sophisticated enough to pick up many different variations and attempts to disguise the three words.
Many different organisations and legislators are pushing for harsher penalties for spammers who waste so much time and money and who put people lives in danger with their fake medicines.
