people are beginning to reckon that there might be something in it!

When Ukmedix News announced the results of a clinical trial involving shock-wave therapy to treat erectile dysfunction back in November there was plenty of skepticism about it being a serious treatment.  In fact many news agencies didn’t report the breakthrough discovery because they were convinced it was a joke or a scam.

Shock Wave Therapy Producing Erections

Well now that a number of reputable sexual scientists have come forward and confirmed the results of the trial, people are beginning to reckon that there might be something in it! Dr. Andrew McCullough from the Dept of Urology at the New York University Langone Medical Center said that there was a “real charge” associated with shockwave therapy treatment for erectile dysfunction but did point out that at the moment the study was “absolutely experimental”.

Another sexologist Dr. John Dean who is the president of the International Society of Sexual Medicine explained that the study was interesting and needed further investigation but cautioned that it would be a long time before men could walk into their doctor and ask for an electrical boost to their sexual function. The study was first announced at the 2009 conference of the European Society for Sexual Medicine by Doctor Yoram Vardi from the Rambam Medical Center based in Israel.

The great thing about this shockwave erectile dysfunction treatment is that it would actually cure the arterial blood flow problem which so many men suffer from and could mean that they would not have to use the impotence drugs Viagra, Cialis and Levitra. The shockwave treatment could also be utilised to help other poorly functioning arteries other than the penile artery.

Some scientists have even speculated that this shockwave treatment could eventually be used to help women suffering from female sexual dysfunction too. Ukmedix News will be on the lookout for more updates on this new way of treating sexual dysfunction.
