Sex Therapy Could Be More Effective Than Viagra

What many men don’t understand is that impotence drugs like Viagra are not the solution to all of their sexual problems and that they must remember that there is more to good sex than merely being able to have an erection for a long time. In fact many women complain that Viagra, Cialis and Levitra can even have a negative impact on lovemaking and that it turns men into uncaring and unthinking sex machines who are only concerned with their own performance.

When you use erectile dysfunction medication you should know that it does not increase sexual desire or sexual technique and does not solve problems with ejaculation either. If you suffer from problems with sex which Viagra cannot cure you should maybe see a sex therapist who can help you manage with some of your issues.
Some men actually suffer from a fear of intimacy which causes them stress and anxiety when they have sexual intercourse. Good sex for both men and women must involve a state of relaxation and many sex therapists advise taking a long time over sex. For example they suggest that you should set aside 3 hours, with the first hour being allocated purely to a hot bath and massaging and the second hour to foreplay only and only then should penetrative sex be initiated.
The majority of sexual problems can be fixed with good communication and this applies to both men and women. You should not be embarrassed to talk about any sexual issues that you have and you will find that if you unburden yourself you will be more relaxed and will be more likely to have good sex. A sex therapist could make a big difference to your sex life and be far more effective than Viagra or other erectile dysfunction medications.
