At Ukmedix News we have written about this before, and new research confirms previous findings regarding the link between the use of motorbikes and higher rates of erectile dysfunction. The study done in Japan and published by the International Journal Of Impotence Research claims that the vibrations of motorcycle engines can have a damaging effect on nerves in the penis as well as uncomfortable seats pressing down hard on the perineum which can restrict blood flow through the penile artery and thus into the penis.

The researchers also said that engine vibrations could be causing a decrease in the production of specific growth hormones that are needed for healthy bladders and prostates. For the study it was observed that just over ¾ of men between the ages of 40 and 49 and 93 percent of men between the ages of 50 and 59 suffered from severe erectile dysfunction. This is compared to the figures of 37 percent and 42 percent among those respective age groups who did not use motorbikes.
The researchers said that all of the men in the study had been previously been sexually active and were not suffering from any noticeable illnesses. Ukmedix News has also seen other research that shows that men who operate heavy machinery such as forklift trucks for long periods of time also have higher levels of erectile dysfunction.
It is possible for men to limit the damage that motorbikes can do to erectile function. It is essential that men have an extremely comfortable bike seat which puts pressure on the buttocks as opposed to the perineum area in between them. Investing in a comfortable motorbike seat could pay off huge dividends in the future.
Most erectile dysfunction in men is caused by unhealthy living such as smoking, drinking too much, being overweight or obese. Unhealthy living also often causes heart disease, hypertension and diabetes all of which have been linked to higher rates of erectile dysfunction.

what about Power Plate machines in the gym, do they cause erectile dysfunction as well as motorbikes? I want to warn my husband if they do.

Sex vibrators for guys are a whole different story but I know that motorbikes can affect the fertility in women, although I think it still looks darn cool.

I read an article about sex vibrators in china; they said that the Chinese men rather to masturbate than have regular sex all because the vibrators are more accessible and cheap but the overused of these products are causing impotence and lock of confidence in the Chinese population.
