Penile Stents Really Work

do exactly the same job that Viagra Cialis and Levitra do

A new way of treating erectile dysfunction which could have a massive impact on men in the United Kingdom has been undertaken by doctors in Cardiff. Doctors using specially made stents which are usually placed in arteries in the heart were instead placed in the penile artery to widen it and therefore make it easier for blood to flow into the penis.

penile stents really work

Dr Nick Ossei-Gerning from the University Hospital of Wales who carried out the first penile artery stent operation in Europe said that his patient who he operated on a year ago was doing well and was able to have normal erections which he had been unable to previously have despite using Viagra, Cialis and Levitra.

Basically, this penile stent is doing exactly the same job that Viagra, Cialis and Levitra do which is widening the penile artery to allow the blood flow right into the penis to make it hard and erect.

It is important to consider however what causes the blockage in the first place. In the vast majority of cases the reason why men have blocked penile arteries is because they have been living unhealthy lives, usually consisting of smoking, overeating and excessive drinking.

If you have a blocked penile artery the chances are you have other arteries in your body which are also clogged up which could lead to a heart attack or stroke, so you should really get yourself checked out properly with heart scans.

Stents have been used to help thousands of men for many years with constricted blood flow to the heart arteries but now the use of stents is becoming increasingly common to help men suffering from erectile dysfunction.

If you are somebody who has used Viagra, Cialis and Levitra and you are still unable to maintain erectile function you should speak to your doctor about the possibility of having a penile stent placed in your penile artery.
