Dr. J. Francois Eid who is a world expert on penile implants and also penile prosthesis surgery has been speaking about the misconceptions which are commonly expressed in connection with these treatments. He said that the public were unaware of the very high satisfaction rates that men reported when receiving penile implants, and that more information was needed to educate men so that they could take advantage of this extremely effective treatment which can make a huge difference to sexual and erectile function.

Dr. Eid claims to perform the greatest amount of penile implant surgeries worldwide and he has hundreds of stories about how they can completely change men lives and allow them to have intimate sexual relationships. He also explained that one of the biggest problems with penile implants is that men are extremely afraid and apprehensive about going under the knife for an operation in this area. Many men were under the impression that penile implants could cause infections and extreme pain and thus did not even bother finding out about them. Dr. Eid said that education was the key and that he spent a lot of time explaining to men that they should not be fearful of penile prosthesis surgery.
In the 1970’s when penile implants first came on to the market they had a much lower success rate than they do now. It is also true that some of them were designed with pumps which were located outside the body which made the whole process of having sex unnatural and complicated. Today however technological advances mean that the devices are completely concealed in the scrotum and penis so that a completely normal sexual relationship can be had with men being able to ejaculate and climax normally.
It is important however that men get expert medical advice before going for penile implants and that they educate themselves about exactly what it involves. It would also be a good idea to speak to men who have already had penile implants so that issues can be discussed and your mind can be put to rest about anything that is worrying you.
Despite the arrival of erectile dysfunction drugs Viagra, Cialis and Levitra there’s still a considerable demand for penile implants for the small proportion of men who do not respond to these impotence medications.

Can you get them to make your willy a bit bigger when they put the implant in? And can you control the speed at which your erection rises?

I had the implant done 2 years ago and it is fantastic! It has restored an active sex life and it looks completely natural.

Larry: Thanks for your comments. I'm considering an implant. My biggest concern is that there will be a reduction in length and/or girth after the surgery. Can anyone who has had the surgery comment on your experience regarding these areas?

Assides from miminal discomfort, the device works wonderful. You will have a few sessions to learn to operate it. Choose the three chamber implant, it is the most expensive, but the best there is make. I have gad mine for two years and love it. My wife thinks i;m bigger and longer than before. Good luvk.
