In a case which is bound to reflect badly on all sportsman the Paralympic curling world champion Jim Armstrong was arrested in Washington after he was busted picking up a parcel which contained thousands of fake Viagra and Cialis tablets. He has now been charged in a United States District Court with trafficking or attempting to traffic in counterfeit medication.

He told the police that the fake Viagra and Cialis pills were going to be sold in various clubs around Vancouver by his son. [Something that his son must be pretty happy about!!]. He has now been released after posting a $20,000 bail and will appear in court soon.
According to police reports there were over 2,500 tablets that looked like Viagra and over 250 tablets that looked like Cialis but officials from Pfizer [who make Viagra] and Eli Lilly [who make Cialis] said that they were definitely counterfeit. The package which came from China was intercepted by customs officials in Los Angeles but was sent on to its final destination so that police could arrest the person receiving them.
Mail Boxes International said that James Armstrong had received a large number of parcels from foreign countries and tended to come by every week. This evidence is likely to be used in court against him. Mr. Jim A. Burkhardt, a Food & Drug Administration Special Agent arrested Jim Armstrong after having watched him ask for the packages, pay the shipping fees and inspect the contents of one of the boxes.
Selling counterfeit erectile dysfunction drugs in nightclubs is increasingly popular to counteract the impotence inducing effects of ecstasy and other illegal drugs. In fact drug dealers often sell the tablets together as a complete package.
Some people believe that selling fake impotence tablets is a pretty harmless enterprise but in fact could leave you with both a prison sentence and a hefty fine as well as a criminal record.
