a lack of education was also to blame

Trying to eradicate the polio disease from Pakistan has proved to be extremely difficult because of rumours which claim that the vaccine can cause impotence. The rumours which were started by Muslim Mullahs say that the vaccine will make boys who use it impotent in later life and that it is all part of a deliberate conspiracy from Americans who manufacture the vaccine and who wish to see the Muslim population of Pakistan die out.

Pakistan Still Plagued By Impotence Rumours

While these allegations seem too crazy to be believed the World Health Organisation representative in Pakistan, Doctor Khalife Bile said that trying to get Pakistan completely polio free is proving to be very problematic because of these rumours which undermine vaccination efforts.

Only four countries in the world today still are plagued by polio and they are Pakistan, India, Afghanistan and Nigeria all of which have considerable Muslim populations. The World Health Organisation said as well as these outlandish conspiracy theories spread by the Mullahs, a lack of education was also to blame with parents being unaware that they must get their children vaccinated.

Despite the problems with these impotence rumours in Pakistan Doctor Bile said that he was confident that sometime in the near future Pakistan would be declared completely polio free.

It never ceases to amaze us at Ukmedix News about the misinformation that can occur with regard to disease and medicine. Until the arrival of drugs like Viagra the majority of people thought that erectile dysfunction was some sort of psychological disease that you should be ashamed of. It is only commonly known now that the majority of erectile dysfunction is purely a blood flow problem and most of the misconceptions and taboos about impotence have vanished.

In societies where education is scarce incorrect rumours spread fast. It is hoped that the people of Pakistan will wake up to the fact that the polio vaccine does not cause erectile dysfunction and that millions of people have already used it around the world without any problems.
