Scientists of nanotechnology which is the science of almost infinitely minuscule particles have developed an exciting new application which could lead to an almost instantaneous treatment for erectile dysfunction. The new discovery which has been tested on animals involves the use of tiny particles which are applied straight to the skin and are immediately absorbed creating a quick erectile response.
Unlike erectile dysfunction drugs Viagra, Cialis and Levitra this new technology does not have to be taken orally which means that its response time is almost immediate. It could have some very exciting commercial applications as one of the biggest complaints about conventional erectile dysfunction medication is the fact that you have to wait as long as 30mins for it to be effective. Not only this but conventional impotence medications also have a number of side-effects like facial flushing and headaches.
The scientists said that when using nanoparticles erectile response was achieved in less than ten minutes and the exciting thing was that it only had an effect on the part the body that it was applied to which means that side effects may well be nonexistent. Professor Kelvin Davies of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York who led the study explained that nanoparticles had been filled with nitric oxide which is part of the chemical reaction which causes erections in men. The nanoparticles had enabled the flow of nitric oxide to the blood vessels which made them expand and fill up with blood thus causing the lab rats to become aroused.
The research which is being announced that the annual general meeting of the American Urological Association is the most exciting development in the field of erectile dysfunction for a number of years and could lead to a serious rival for Viagra, Cialis and Levitra.
