Yet another study has proven the link between being obese and the likelihood of you suffering from erectile dysfunction. The research which was published in the medical journal Obesity and Weight Management specifically noted that obesity caused atherosclerosis related high blood pressure and heart disease along with significant hormonal changes. Professor Adam Gilden Tsai at the University of Colorado in Denver and Professor David Sarwer at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine used the example of a particular 48 year old man suffering from obesity with a BMI of 33.

They explained that his erectile dysfunction was not able to be cured with the use of Cialis alone however after he was given weight loss advice and he lost almost five percent of his overall body weight and the use of blood pressure medication to lower his blood pressure, he was able to get sufficient erections for intercourse when he used the Cialis drug. (It should be pointed out here that using Cialis or any other erectile dysfunction medication along with certain blood pressure medications can be dangerous and should only be done so after consulting a doctor.)
The researchers said that the “complicated interplay of weight and other health conditions” are the cause of not only major vascular disease such as heart attacks and strokes but also of what they called “microvascular disease” which can lead to erectile dysfunction. Having weight problems not only directly causes erectile dysfunction but leads to many obesity related illnesses which in themselves are major indicators for male sexual problems.
At Ukmedix News we believe that one of the best reasons for men to lose weight is to improve their erectile function and women should also remember that being of a healthy weight can improve their sexual function too. Being overweight will always catch up with you eventually and cause you health problems in the future.
