arrested on suspicion of selling and supplying the fake medicines

Another one bites the dust! In fact another four have bitten the dust following the latest Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency raid on different locations in Middlesbrough. The MHRA which has committed itself to the complete eradication of fake erectile dysfunction medication, (as well as bogus weight loss, hair loss, anxiety and smoking cessation drugs), worked in conjunction with the Cleveland Police to gather information leading to the seizure of a substantial amount of suspect medication.

MHRA Swoops Again

Mick Deats who is the head of enforcement at the MHRA stated that following undercover research they became aware that fake medicines coming from China were being sent to specific locations in Middlesbrough. When the properties were raided with the police two Chinese men and two Chinese women were arrested on suspicion of selling and supplying the fake medicines.

The suspects have been released on bail while the fake medications are subjected to clinical analysis to find out what exactly they contain. While it has not been established yet, they are likely to contain fake versions of the key ingredients of Viagra, Cialis and Levitra. The police will also be looking for evidence that the drugs were being touted to unsuspecting members of the public.

The MHRA also warned that fake medications were dangerous to the health of the general public and stressed that criminal organisations that run these setups had no interest in your health and only were concerned about getting your money.

At Ukmedix News we make a point of warning our readers about the dangers of fake medications because we have seen from our research how much harm they can do. The World Health Organisation says that those who use fake medications are playing Russian Roulette with their health and reports we have seen that Ukmedix News show how the money generated from the sale of fake medications is sometimes used to fund other more serious criminal or terrorist activities.
