The Mayo Clinic has released information about erectile dysfunction and has examined whether other than using the medications Viagra, Cialis and Levitra there are any remedies for impotence. They have looked at a number of herbal remedies such as Ginseng, Ginkgo and Yohimbe and have concluded that while there have been reports of people saying that they swear by these remedies there is no clinical evidence to show that they actually work.

From our research at Ukmedix News we know that you have to be extremely careful when evaluating herbal impotence medication because there is a huge placebo effect which ranges from 25% up to about 40% in all independent clinical studies done with erectile dysfunction medication.
The other thing that the Mayo Clinic pointed out was that you should be “extremely wary” of any herbal impotence medications. They warned that there are a quite a few so called natural impotence products on the market which in fact are dangerous and had been the subject of warnings from the Food & Drug Administration in America.
They said that before you used any erectile dysfunction medication you should speak to a doctor and you should also be concious that many of these so called herbal remedies in fact contained potentially harmful chemicals which could also interact with medications which you were already taking. Another thing which the Mayo Clinic pointed out which is very relevant to any men who are suffering from erectile dysfunction is that the best remedy for impotence is simply Good Health. They said that you should get advice about how to improve your health which will in turn improve your erectile function.
For example quitting cigarettes, reducing your alcohol intake and going for a run everyday could mean that you solve your erectile dysfunction problem completely naturally and you do not have to resort to medication. If you do this you will also have the extra advantage of reducing the likelihood of the erectile dysfunction recurring later on in life.
The other things which are known to cause erectile dysfunction are stress, anxiety and depression and getting help for these conditions could reduce your reliance on Viagra, Cialis or Levitra. As with most medical conditions prevention is better than cure.
