At Ukmedix News we hope the following story will be a warning to men who fail to get proper medical advice from a licenced doctor for an erectile dysfunction condition.  Mr. Jon Henry Howard's story is tragic in that he is now suffering penile damage which means that he is unable to produce a normal erection.

Mr. Howard a truck driver from Georgia in the United States visited a clinic calling themselves the Boston Medical Group which used to slogan 'Sex for Life' In their advertising. When he attended this clinic based in Atlanta he was actually warned again using the drugs Viagra, Cialis and Levitra and was told that their treatments were safer. In fact the Boston Medical Group treatment involved the injection of papaverine directly into the penis which the American FDA already warns should never be utilised for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.

Initially the treatment worked very well and Mr. Howard said that he had had "the best erection of his life" but after a couple of weeks he experienced a permanent erection which quickly became painful. On arrival in hospital he was informed that he was suffering from fibrosis and that scar tissue had formed inside the chambers of his penis, thus permanently damaging it. Legal action taken by Mr. Howard against the Boston Medical Group has resulted in $9.25 million by way of damages suffered. Mr. Howard's lawyer said that his client had been extremely brave to come forward to talk about his humiliating experience.

Clinics which come up with untested and unapproved erectile dysfunction treatment often work on the assumption that men who use their products and either fail to get erections or suffer from harmful side effects, will not sue them because it is just too embarrassing to go to court and have to face lawyers, judges and juries. It is hoped that the courageous action of Mr. Howard in getting justice should warn not only men seeking help for erectile dysfunction but also clinics who prey on the insecurities of desperate men and exploit them for their money without delivering results.
