New research presented at the 25th Annual European Association of Urology Congress taking place in Barcelona shows that the new erectile dysfunction medication Udenafil can work for up to twelve hours which is significantly more than the four hours for Viagra and Levitra. The Cialis drug however works for three times longer at 36 hours.

Udenafil which is a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor like its cousins Viagra, Cialis and Levitra has been sold for a number of years in South Korea where it was developed and is sold under the brand name Zydena. The research which was undertaken by Professor Hyun Jun Park at the Department of Urology in Pusan National University School of Medicine in South Korea was designed to show the significantly long duration that Zydena can work for and how it is well tolerated with minimal side effects.
In all over 100 men suffering from erectile dysfunction of differing severity were put into different groups following a double blind, placebo controlled, fixed dose multi centre format. The volunteers were asked to try to have sexual intercourse within a 12 hour period following taking the tablets. They were questioned using various clinically accepted International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF) questionnaires and the result clearly showed the effectiveness of Zydena up to twelve hours.
The impotence drug Zydena which has yet to gain approval for sale in the United Kingdom or anywhere in Europe is likely however to appear on the market soon. It is probable that it will be considerably cheaper than its rivals Viagra, Cialis and Levitra but whether it will be as effective and well tolerated is to be seen.
Probably the biggest commercial advantage of using Zydena is that it works for three times longer than Viagra and Levitra this is likely to be his unique selling point. It basically means that it will work all night and also in the morning giving you a very practical time window for sexual activity.
