It's The Time For Sexy Food And Drink

It’s that time of year again when practically every single newspaper and magazine comes up with a list of special Valentine’s foods which are sure to put ‘sizzle’ and ‘romance’ back into your sex lives. Lists of different foods which “traditionally” act as aphrodisiacs for both men and women include oysters, figs, chocolate, strawberries and the even the humble avocado.

Is there any truth to these claims? Well the first thing that you should be aware of is that if you suffer from a physical erectile dysfunction problem eating a few oysters, strawberries or whatever will not cure your problem and you are still likely to have a problem performing on the night. If on the other hand you just want to spice up the evening and make it a sexy, romantic and fun using some of the ‘sexy foods’ listed above you could make the difference between a boring evening with lackluster sex to an exciting evening with a mind blowing finale.
The point is that the difference between a good sexual performance for both men and women and a bad one can often be in the preparation and the timing. Feeding your loved one oysters in a candle lit environment and taking the time to make sure that everything is perfect, calm and relaxing can sow the seed for a very romantic and satisfying sexual experience.
There is some evidence for example that oysters can increase the amount of zinc in your body which is known to be important for good sexual function but if you have a serious erectile dysfunction problem you can eat as many oysters as you like but it won’t have cure the root of the problem which is almost certainly a lack of blood supply to the penile artery.
Basically if you eat a healthy diet you should not need to eat any particular foods to be able to have good erectile function. Eating healthily and sensibly is the best way to keep impotence at bay. The second best way to maintain good erectile function is to speak to a doctor who may be able to prescribe you either Viagra, Cialis or Levitra.
